Game company Wixel Studios recently launched its first mobile game entitled “Santa’s Rookie” for both iOS and Android. The game, which is developed in partnership with Singapore based development and production company Potoq Creative, is a collapse game set in a humorous environment where you compete to regain command of the toy manufacturing industry from the Chinese and become the next Santa.

“Investors love mobile” stated co-founder Karim Abi Saleh when asked about the difference between producing games for mobile versus browsers; and while it takes equal effort to develop for either platform, he also noted the advantage of app stores in marketing games. When asked which of the two represented a better option for monetization, Karim emphasized the quality of the game as the primary factor to its success.

Santa’s Rookie, like most Wixel games, was designed to capitalize on current events, something Wixel has been very successful at in their past releases. The company has in its portfolio several games in this regard such as مصر عايزة مين and Collitical.
