TechCrunch reported 2 hours ago that Jordan based online shopping club MarkaVIP has secured $5 Million in series A funding led by Lumia Capital with participation from NYC-based Invus Financial Advisors.
Lumia Capital invests in later-stage Internet and software companies targeting emerging markets experiencing breakout growth. Invus Financial Advisors invests in alternative financial asset managers and emerging classes of assets.
TechCrunch also reported that MarkaVIP has attracted 700,000 registered users to date, with up to 5,000 more joining per day.
