Seeing how fast our pace of life has become, the need for on-demand startups has skyrocketed.  During the past few years, the automotive industry, in particular, has witnessed massive integration into the startup on-demand ecosystem, making our lives more time and cost efficient.

Research conducted by global analysts Frost & Sullivan showed that 33.91 million passenger vehicles will cover the MENA region’s roads by 2020, a 61% increase over today’s 21.02 million cars.  The automotive industry is growing rapidly in order to comply with the high demand of cars as well as live up to peoples’ everyday demands. 

Last week, eZhire, an on-demand car rental mobile app, was one of the lucky participants to have been among the 10 finalists at Startup Battle Dubai.

Lanched in 2015, eZhire enables users to rent a car using a mobile appin an efficient and convenient way for everyone and at any time making renting a car as simple as ordering a cab while being affordable

The app only requires 3 taps to rent a car making it easy to navigate through. After having been registered on the app, you firstly start by clicking on “click to book”. After that, you need to choose what car size and type you want whether big, small, comfy or convertible. Finally, you add your phone number so that you are called and can arrange for your selected car to be delivered to you.

Hassan J. Saduzai and Farhan Ali believe in improving customer experiences on a daily basis, such as the struggle faced when renting a car. What makes eZhire unique is not only the starting rate being as low as AED 65 per day, but also the quality of services offered. eZhire doesn’t have any hidden charges that  users would scratch their heads over, nor a minimum number of days required to rent the car.

“It’s the fastest way to rent a car and get it delivered to your doorstep at any given time. With the way things are going now, we are confident that we will revolutionize the auto rental industry in UAE and start reaching out to other markets which have equal potential,” said Farhan Ali, CTO & Co-founder at eZhire.

Currently operating in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras al-Khaimah, eZhire is available for free on both iPhone and Android devices.  The application provides users with a wide spectrum of options ranging from economy cars and SUVs to premium cars, in a wide variety of brands including Nissan, Infiniti, Honda, and BMW. eZhire also caters to all demographics in the United Arab Emirates from residents to tourists.

In September 2017, the startup received its first seed funding from Jabbar Internet Group which will further enable the company to expand in terms of geographical reach and offer premium services and more to their customers.
