Doha Tech Angels (DTA) is a QFC registered Angel Fund launched in April of 2018. It comprises of a private network of seasoned investors and senior executives who invest in partnerships with talented entrepreneurs to establish successful technology ventures.

Doha Tech Angels is Qatar’s 1st private Angel Fund that is focused on providing seed funding for early stage technology startups in Qatar, the Middle East, and beyond. DTA founders use their experience and networks to mentor and guide startups to support their growth and business development while a very diversified and experienced investment committee manages the fund.

During the last 12 months since its launch, DTA has completed 5 investments namely, ShopUp (Singapore),  Carzaty (Oman), Adfone ( US ), Droobi Health (Qatar) and Stars League (Qatar). DTA has so far held 6 pitch sessions, where over 20 startups have pitched for funding out of over 100 applications received from startups in 26 countries.

To expand its investment portfolio, DTA is currently forging partnerships with local and international entities. 2019 has been marked as a year of growth for DTA, the investment fund will focus on expanding its portfolio where it will seek opportunity not only in Angel rounds, but A’ rounds as well.
