Eventtus, a social network for events, just launched a revamped website design and new features. Eventtus, which was a Startup Demo finalist during ArabNet Cairo 2011, aims to make events more successful, social and fun. Using Eventtus, users can find events based on their interests, follow friends and public figures and stay updated with their events schedule, share their plans with their network, in addition to in-event networking features where they can meet likeminded people and make new friends or professional connections.

Social features include the "Event Cards" for example, where users can explore mutual interests and socialize with each other, and the “Handshake” button, which allows users to keep track of people they’ve met. Additionally users can capture event moments and share photos, videos and comments.

Organizers on the other hand can promote their event to a target audience using Eventtus’ proprietary smart recommendation algorithm, connect and engage with attendees using live updates, in addition to generating reports about attendee behavior during the event to help better understand and manage their audience.

The Eventtus team is also working on a mobile application for iOS and Android which will be available very soon.
