Women Technology Startup Beirut (WTSUP!), organized in partnership with BDD, is a Finnish pilot 3-day event designed to deliver state-of-the-art startup education in Lebanon and is set to take off on the 11th of February. 12 early stage female entrepreneurial teams have been selected to participate.

On the last day of the event, the teams will take part in the WTSUP! Beirut pitching competition in which the winning team(s) will receive a chance to attend, pitch, and meet international investors in Finland’s entrepreneurial event, SLUSH.

WTSUP!’s mission is to encourage gender equality in the Lebanese entrepreneurial community by deploying the best practices in entrepreneurship education currently available in Finland and customizing it to suit the local needs.

WTSUP! Beirut workshops, panels, and mentoring will be conducted by an elite team of 12-15 expert digital entrepreneurship educators, entrepreneurs, and researchers. Their expertise lies, among others, in web development, experience design, venture capital, analytics, mobile platforms, impact design, mobility, startup team formation, product development, brand strategy, social innovation, ecosystem building, food technologies, social impact, and leadership. Experienced Lebanese mentors are also joining the sessions.
