This year’s ArabNet Digital Summit witnessed 18 startups compete at the Startup Championship. Coming from Kuwait, Riyadh, Beirut, Cairo, Casablanca, and Dubai, the startups included Cherpa, Dox, Lexyom, Manageo, Carmine, Breakr, One Clique Systems FZ-LLC, Yalla Parking, Sadeed, Festivity, PantryBee, Nabta Health, Supplierscave, Hadaya, YallaCare, Sadeem, Labayh, and Speero.
The competitors took to the stage and pitched in front of a jury consisting of key professionals and leaders in the tech and digital industry.
Each startup had 5 minutes to explain to the judges why they should win and seize the final prize - $20K, a 3- week acceleration program in Silicon Valley by TVLP (full expenses covered), and other in-kind prizes. All 18 startups won in-kind prizes from Alibaba Cloud, Facebook for developers, SME Law and Bayt.com.
Nabta Health, Sadeed, Sadeem, Labayh, and Cherpa were the 5 startups selected out of 18 to pitch in the final pitch round, and following the fierce competition and two rounds of well-constructed pitches, the judges made their decision.
So, without further ado, meet the Championship winners!
First Place: Sadeed
Entrepreneur – Abdalla Odat, Country – UAE
The platform understands and responds to followers’ comments over social media. Sadeed uses AI and machine learning to improve its performance and understand all inputs no matter the language or accent used even the Arabic language.
Second Place: Nabta Health
Entrepreneur– Sophie Smith, Country – Kuwait
Nabta Health is the first dedicated platform for women's health in the MENA. Using a unique set of data insights and digital technology, Nabta Health provides digital support services to women that mirror the concerns and challenges that accompany important events in their lives, including marriage, pregnancy and childbirth.
Third Place – Sadeem
Entrepreneur – Moustafa Osama Moussa, Country – KSA
Sadeem is the world’s first multi-patented flood and traffic information system with active networks to save lives and money in real time. Their holistic solution consists in a combination of sensors network, mobile applications, and visualization tools to face floods in a better way and mitigate its effects.
People’s Choice Award
Aside from the Championship winners, three startups were granted with the People’s Choice award and prizes from Al Aan TV. The first place winner won a full TV and media campaign on Al Aan premier worth $10K, whereas the second and third place winners were given a 25% discount on all Al AlAan premier media services.

Providing cloud based HR system tailored for SMEs, One Clique will facilitate previously laborious HR tasks by eliminating bureaucracy, paperwork and countless hours filing and refiling information.
3rd place Labayh
Entrepreneur – Bassem Awde Al-Biladi, Country – KSA
Labayh is a project that helps individuals who are suffering from family and psychology problems by useful free content and consultations sessions through our mobile app which works as a point of connection between consultants and users.
