Fransabank announced today the launch of “SIMBA APP”, short for ‘simple mobile banking’, a mobile payment solution that allows its users to send and request money, along with a number of other banking features. The service is the result of a joint agreement signed by Fransabank and Viamobile, a mobile banking and payment solutions provider.
For the time being users can use Simba to:
- Send and request money
- Recharge prepaid phone lines (for both Alfa & Touch)
- Recharge their internet subscription
- Contribute money to wedding lists
- Pay parking fines
- Perform any online banking activity including viewing account balances, view transactions, request a checkbook, etc
He continued: “Today, we are launching this latest innovation in the world of payment as a first step towards this cashless future. All you need is a mobile phone and a bank account.”
The company also ran a series of 'hidden camera' sketches to promote the service.
