Mark Malkoun and Emile Khattar, the creators of the photo-centric citizen journalism app Completure, have just unveiled their latest creation ReachFast. ReachFast, currently available exclusively for iPhone (for now we hope), is a novel way to use your phone’s contacts. The app shaves of a couple of clicks here and there, making looking up people in your address book, calling, texting and editing contacts all the more convenient.
Firstly, the app lists your starred contacts followed by the most recently used at the top of the list. If your target isn’t there, a quick pull down on the list will take you to search, which also packs a nifty trick listing contacts you interact with the most first.
Swiping to the left gives you the options to edit, delete or star a contact. A swipe to the right takes you straight to messaging.
Aside from that, clicking on a contact will call him immediately. Editing or creating contacts is also improved; swiping right or left on the keyboard will take you to the next or previous field.
By default, the interface includes just names and numbers for the sake of clarity, but users can add additional fields as they please including pictures and email addresses.
The App has been downloaded 11 000 on its first day alone, and will be free for a limited time on the App Store so you'd better get it now.
