Introducing NOON, the first Arabic transliteration keyboard for Android
Share this article

Developed by software developer Nader Ayyad as an indie project, NOON is the first Arabic transliteration keyboard for Android. Using the Yamli API, Noon will transform romanized Arabic text into Arabic words. The app, which took 3 days to build, has been available for download for almost a week and has already been installed in excess of 500 times.

Extremely handy to write SMS or emails in Arabic, NOON currently requires an Internet connection in order to connect with the Yamli database to work. However if you find yourself without a connection, the service can be disabled by clicking the NOON button (bottom left) turning it into a regular keyboard.
