Over 100 startups from more than 40 countries will come together during the second edition of “Startup Istanbul” on October 3-5, 2015.

The conference is organized by Etohum, an accelerator and seed investor, and one of Turkey's first startup catalyzers. Etohum has successfully helped hundreds of startups grow to be fruitful businesses.

Networking and Investment Opportunities

Startup Istanbul 2015 will be kicked off by Steve Blank, prominent Silicon Valley serial-entrepreneur, who will be the conference’s main speaker. He will share his revolutionary management philosophy with more than 1,500 attendees.

The conference will be also hosting 20 renowned players in the entrepreneurship landscape from Turkey and around the world, including high-profile investors and venture capitalists:

• Morten Lund, Chairman Board of Directors CapitalAid Ltd. and co-founder and investor of Skype

• Dave McClure, Founding Partner of 500 Startups, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm and startup incubator with over $150 million under management

100 Competitors in the Startup Challenge

Prior to the event’s launch, 100 startups will take part in two days of training. They will have the opportunity to present their projects to 13 expert mentors and will receive their feedback.

50 of these startups will attend the conference and benefit from additional exposure and networking. A jury composed of investors will select 15 companies to take part in the final pitch on the  last day of the conference where the top 3 winners will be announced.

Last year’s first place winner Connected2.me, a chatting platform where people can chat anonymously, received an investment from 500 Startups and relocated to Silicon Valley.
