EG Bank, in partnership with Cairo Angels, has announced the MINT Incubator’s Fall 2018 second cycle that promises to include an updated and intensive 3-month program.

Mint Incubator is open to businesses, which already have a product and want to take it to the next level. The enrolled businesses are not required to give equities but are only expected to be passionate and committed to appeal to startup investors.

In the Spring 2018 Cycle, 30 startups applied to be part of the program, 10 of which were accepted: Direxiona, the Meal Kit, Sheyaka, Flareinn, Jidar, NIoTEK, Odiggo, Cyber Talents, X-Venturer, and Roshetta. Each startup was paired with a mentor who supported and guided the entrepreneurs.

A series of workshops was created tackling various key areas in the startup business such as finance, sales, marketing, growth hacking, accounting, legal, and governance basics. In addition to that, the workshops prepared these startups on how to attract and retain talent and to think about one’s brand. A team of stellar academics, entrepreneurs, and business professionals delivered the workshops.

According to the MINT Incubator team, the Month-over-Month (MoM) growth of the enrolled startups witnessed a 50% growth during the program.

To apply for the MINT Incubator’s Fall 2018, startups must follow these steps:

  • Fill out an online application explaining the nature of the startup business.
  • The ones accepted receive pitching guides as well as a slot to rehearse with the MINT team.
  • Upon completing the rehearsal, they will enter the pitch competition itself, pitching to judges from various fields.
  • On the same day of the pitch, startups will be told whether they are part of the Fall 2018 cycle or not.
