Khalid Bin Hamad Patronizes MicroShabab Fifth Edition

University of Bahrain (UoB) is hosting the fifth edition of the Youth Forum for Entrepreneurship “MicroShabab”, organized by the Future Society for Youth, 21 – 23 May.

The forum is under the patronage of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee.

Shaikh Khalid expressed his happiness with the launch of the fifth edition of the youth forum for entrepreneurship “Micro Shabab”, which is considered one of the important youth forums that aim to develop youth ideas in the field of entrepreneurship, under the directives Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.

Shaikh Khalid said that the forum will contribute to supporting and empowering youth in the economic field, given that the sector represents a fundamental pillar in the comprehensive development process in the country under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Economic Vision 2030 led by Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Shaikh Khalid stressed that the youth forum for entrepreneurship “Micro Shabab” is an investment in young people in developing and building society to be an effective element in advancing the country’s economy.

He stressed the importance of exchanging ideas, expertise, and experiences in the field of entrepreneurship to enhance the culture of creativity and innovation among youth.

Dr. Jawaher Shaheen Al Mudhahka President of the University of Bahrain (UoB) said: “Bahrain has a distinguished location in terms of entrepreneurship, and this forum contributes to communicating the successful experience of Bahraini entrepreneurs to a wide segment of the youth community, directing them to the right path, to start their entrepreneurial journey, and encouraging them to adopt leading technology to reach an international level.”

Al Mudhahka thanked Shaikh Khalid for supporting the “Initiatives” office in the university, facilitating its work and create ways for the success of the entrepreneurial experience.

The “MicroShabab” forum is one of the initiatives launched by the Future Youth Association in 2013. It aims to promote inspiration, innovation and spreading the culture of entrepreneurship in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
