The Technology Director will be responsible for the long-range direction of ArabNet's technology function. He should be able to direct the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure.
The ideal applicant will have an organized and creative mindset, critical think and Technological Analysis that drives him to find innovative solutions.
This is a unique opportunity to provide a technical vision to complement the business vision, setting the tone and direction for ArabNet’s technologies.
The position reports to the CEO.

Job description

Guide the development of a technological strategic plan and set objectives, goals and programs for ArabNet.
Oversee all technical aspects and technological resources of ArabNet for the purpose of organisational growth.
Direct the activities necessary to keep the technology infrastructure running seamlessly, efficiently, and effectively.
Conduct research to improve the technological assets of the company.
Evaluate new technology and makes recommendations on technological solutions.
Liaise with external agencies and lead the integration of new technology elements to improve event experience/effectiveness (CRM, Knowledge Management System, etc…)
Manage the development of our internal systems and softwares(website, app, registration, …)
Review corporate current business processes and customer interactions and then identify and prioritize the technology tasks that will make an impact on the business's success.
Work with other department heads, such as marketing, program and operations as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
Be up-to-date with relevant regional and international trends.
Maintains technology standards for the organization.
Supervise data integrity and maintenance.
Make quick decisions and solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment for project implementation
Identify resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning and manage software and hardware availability
Provide technical training to teams when required and serve as a technical mentor to team members

Skills and requirements

Possess good knowledge of different software systems, server architectures and various compatibility requirements.
Ability to make sound and logical judgments.
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Able to conduct research into issues and products as required.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
