On October 3rd, TechCrunch will be hosting its first MENA Startup Battlefield competition presented by FB Start from Facebook at Beirut Digital District. To attend the day-long event, Tickets with a 10% discount are available for purchase on TechCrunch’s Website.

Startup Battlefield Competition

15 startups have been selected to pitch before a panel of seasoned investors for the chance to win a $25,000 prize along with a trip to TechCrunch’s flagship conference Disrupt to participate in the Startup Battlefield competition.

Exhibition Area

 There will also be several additional great startups from across the region exhibiting at the event alongside the Startup Battlefield contestants. Attendees will have the opportunity to discover some of the up and coming startups.

Panels and Fireside Chats

 Interviews and host panels will be conducted featuring MENA’s esteemed founders and investors such as Magnus Olsson of Careem, Imad Kreidieh of Ogero, Mai Medhat of Eventtus, Konstantinos Papamiltiadis of Facebook, and Henri Asseily of Leap Ventures.

The speakers will discuss various subjects including Infrastructure and Connectivity, MENA’s tech ecosystem, startup scaling, securing investments and so on.

Toyota Workshop

 The event will also feature a workshop hosted by Toyota in which its Global Head of Automated Driving Mobility and Innovation, Mandali Khalesi, will share Toyota’s latest automated driving research findings and their plans for future.
