Nelson is an Angel investor since 1996, a member groups in Scotland and the USA and has personally invested in over 50 companies. As a fund manager, he funded a further 50+. Presently, he’s on the investment committee of the UK Governments Angel CoFund. Nelson has also provided advice to government on policy to stimulate Angel investment and training to investors in many counties. He was 2008 European Angel of the Year and awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise Promotion in 2015.
