H.E. Mr. Ghassan Hasbani is the Minister of Public Health and Vice President of the Council of Ministers since December 2016. He’s the Executive and expert at an international level in planning, economics and technology. After completing his studies in London, he occupied several industry leadership positions in Europe and the Middle East; the most notable of which was vice-president and partner in a strategic and management consulting firm “Booz & Company” and CEO of international operations at STC Group (Saudi Telecom Company). He is a current and former member of several boards of directors for multinational companies with various sizes in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He is also a member of the global agenda council with the world Economic Forum, and a fellow of the global leadership network of the “Aspen Institute”. He has written several books including: “Republic Outside the Cave, Lebanon in a Changing World” and “Oasis Economies, The Middle East in 2030”, in addition to several other local and international writings, papers articles and lectures. Hasbani holds a first class honors degree in Engineering and an MBA from the United Kingdom. He’s a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and the Engineering Council of the UK, as well as the President of Cedar Institute for Economic and Social Affairs, in Lebanon. He was born in 1972 in Rmeil, Beirut and is married with three children.
