Anwaar AlMahmeed is the co-founder of the East Chain Co., an investment firm with the goal of investing in, developing and implementing blockchain technology and other distributed technology. She’s one of the lead organizers of The East Chain Open Hub (ECOH) Conference. Before founding the East Chain Co., Anwaar was also the product development manager at Boursa Kuwait. She started her career in the Kuwait Investment Authority’s training program in 2011, interning at State Street’s Financial Securities department then later joining the Hedge Fund Department at the KIA.
