Emon Shakoor (إيمان عبد الشكور) is the CEO & Founder of Blossom, Saudi Arabia’s first technology accelerator with a focus on enabling and empowering female founders and Saudi women startups by providing them with network, resources, knowledge, and access to funding. She also founded EventFen which is a mobile application that finds all professional and social events in Saudi Arabia with an aim of connecting youth through professional events. Emon obtained her bachelors in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego and was a neuroscience researcher at the University of California, San Diego investigating the role of mirror neurons in social cognition. She also worked at PAREXEL where she oversaw and managed hundreds of Pfizer clinical drug trials across North America. Emon is also the VP of XS - Conferences & Exhibitions, one of Saudi Arabia’s first event organizing companies with a vision of connecting key stakeholders to bring about global impact across countries. Emon is a Global Shaper at the Jeddah hub, and was part of the Davos 50 selected to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos 2018. She shared her story on the Tedx stage on the power of seizing opportunity and she inspires to enable more women around the world to seize and realize their full potential.
