Gartner’s 2018 CIO Agenda report revealed duties of 84% of CIOs at top-performing digital businesses have dramatically expanded beyond the IT function, with innovation and transformation being their prime responsibilities now. CIOs have to understand and anticipate future business needs and create efficient plans to deliver business value to customers, delivering a seamless customer experience while also ensuring the stability of the existing system in a rapidly evolving environment.
