After the successful conclusion of TIP’s first round on the 19th of September, Touch opened its doors for new startups to join TIP’s Second Cycle. 10 semi-finalists were chosen to pitch in front of an esteemed panel of judges consisting of Lara Fadlallah from MIC Ventures; Maya Rahal from MITEF Pan Arab Region; Omar Christidis from ArabNet; and Nadim Khater from Touch.

The meetup took place on the 19th of October at Touch Lab, Beirut Souks. The agenda included the 10 startup pitches along with a 20-minute open discussion with Anghami’s co-founder Elie Habib.

The open discussion included insightful pieces of advice for the TIP startups. Elie habib mentions the key pillars for a successful startup which are: know what people need in terms of product or service, have a good business model that clarifies where the revenues will come from, and avoid the addition of excessive features that require further testing.

In addition to the above, Elie reminded entrepreneurs to remain passionate about their product regardless of the failures they might face.
