Asnad Launches Digital Distribution Platform

By Wael Nabbout | May 8, 2012 | Section: Announcements |

Asnad announced today that it has launched its digital distribution platform in beta. The service caters for Arab literature, art and development creatives looking to sell their work online in digital format. Asnad’s library offers literary works, photos, images, software, code snippets, web design templates, and Wordpress themes among many others.

The Arab ecommerce scene has come a long way in the past few years explains Asnad Founder Mohammed Sahli, however there still exists a lack of online selling channels. Unable to find an adequate local medium to sell digital copies of his books online, he took matters into his own hands. “Instead of launching a platform to sell my won work, I decided to build a platform open to all who wish to sell their work.”

The website features a simple process to list products. Sellers just need to create an account free of charge, submit the details of their work and set the price. Asnad will charge .3$ for each transaction in addition to 10% of the price of the product.
