Aramex Announces First Game Development Competition

By Wael Nabbout | June 11, 2012 | Section: Announcements |

Aramex is inviting game developers and artists from around the globe to participate in its first game development competition and create a mobile or browser based Aramex themed game. What’s at stake? $7500 in prize money for the top three teams, in addition to the fame and glory of being behind Aramex’s first game.

“We are looking to empower the next generation of gaming entrepreneurs while trying to strengthen our brand among the young generation, so we thought why not crowdsource the project and offer developers a chance to participate in this process,” according to Aramex.

The game should be based on one of the following categories: casual (simple games that can be played at any time, i.e. Angry Birds, Cut the Rope), action, strategy, or education. Additionally, the game must incorporate Aramex's service elements in it, which includes express, freight, logistics, Shop and Ship, Infofort's information management solutions, or e-commerce.

Participants are asked to submit either a game or video demo by July 31st, 2012
